Why do I create art?

Madeleine Rorke is an animator/ artist from Melbourne, Australia. She first began creating in grade 3, it was an escape, as she was constantly bullied by the other kids and felt very alone. It helped her to block out all the horrible things they would say to her and make her feel happiness. As she kept on drawing throughout high school, things did get better. She was respected and began to teach herself new skills to get her where she is today.

She has now graduated from Melbourne University (VCA) and has been involved with many big projects.

She primarily creates funny little animations on YouTube, create digital art prints, as well as write and illustrated my own picture story books. Madeleine hopes to inspire other artists who may feel alone and teach kids valuable life lessons through her books and characters. She just want to share my art with the world!

One day she hopes to make an Oscar qualifying animated short, grow her YouTube channel (Madimation Animation), and continue producing children’s picture books.
